Join Bedayati’s Advisory Board
We are seeking new advisory members for our board who will help shape our organisation’s future strategic development (volunteer basis), with a focus on providing food marketing expertise.
About Us
Bedayati is a social sector organization established in 2020. We work to empower marginalized women and youth in Lebanon, responding to their aspirations for change.
Vision
We champion an inclusive world of work, advocating for an economy and society where everyone can participate and make a difference. We believe that no one’s life journey should be diminished because of lack of access to education or decent work opportunities.
Mission
Bedayati works to empower women and youth through widening access to education, skills training, and economic opportunities.
We partner with purpose-driven businesses and organizations to expand decent work opportunities and promote inclusive workplaces. Our Inclusive Employer Pledge invites employers to join a growing movement of Lebanese businesses who commit to building a more inclusive and sustainable economy and society.
Bedayati launched its Kitchen in 2020, with the belief that the food we share can be a force for community and empowerment. Since then, the Kitchen has transitioned from a pop-up soup kitchen to a full-time catering service. With every meal purchased, we provide a meal for free. To date, the Bedayati Kitchen has distributed over 150,000 meals to those who need them the most in Beirut, providing cash-for-work opportunities to over 100 women and youth.
Our 2024 Impact Report is available here.
About the Board
The GA is currently composed of 15 members and meets at minimum once a year, with up to 3-6 committee meetings for specific technical areas. The advisory member would be expected to meet directly with kitchen staff as needed. Day-to-day operations are managed by a team of Bedayati staff, with oversight from our chair of the board. The appropriate involvement of the Board on a strategic level is both critical and expected. The Board provides active support and strategic guidance to help Bedayati scale operations across its skills training programme and its community kitchen operations.
