One-day Retreat
A day of restoration and connection in Hammana with the Bedayati team and trainees, in partnership with GIZ/ZFD! 🌳
More than a day out, this one-day retreat provided the opportunity to reconnect with one another and with nature. Several circles were formed throughout the day where participants shared their life journeys, what led them to Bedayati, and their aspirations for the future.
“I am from the South; I love the land. I signed up for this day to reconnect with the land,” shared one participant from a border village who was displaced and whose home was demolished. It was displacement that led her to Bedayati, where she chose to rebuild her career.
“Bedayati was the beginning of a new story for me,” said another trainee.
Despite the immense burdens of care work, internal displacement, war, and Lebanon’s triple crisis since 2019, account after account spoke of faith and courage in the face of adversity to rebuild aspirations and start anew.
