Bedayati

When asked to define success, two students in the Youth Program described it as achieving their dream of finding a decent job that pays a living wage, allowing them to secure a home and start a family. “These are simple dreams that can be achieved through continued work. We strive to reach the goals we want. For example, we work [في مطبخ البداية وكمسؤول أمن] and study [في مدرسة فنية]. This is certainly not easy, but we are determined. And whoever strives will find,” they wrote in their essay for English class.

On World Day of Social Justice, we are reminded that “the opposite of poverty is not wealth… but justice.” Responding to young people’s aspirations is at the heart of Bedayati’s mission, and we are committed to building a new agenda for social justice in Lebanon where young people who seek will indeed find.
