Protect our Frontline Workers Inclusion, advocacy

On World Labour Day, we would like to salute the workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic in Lebanon, who continue to risk exposure to the virus on a daily basis. We would especially like to thank our healthcare workers, particularly the nurses and doctors at Rafik Al Hariri Hospital, who have been working tirelessly day and night since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. A big shoutout also to supermarket and delivery workers, and all other workers across Lebanon who are risking their lives in order to keep us safe and the country running. We call on Lebanese employers and businesses to provide decent and safe work conditions to all workers, particularly those on the frontline, providing the proper protective equipment, paying at least the minimum wage and social security and providing paid sick leave.
