As the owner of two restaurants in Beirut, Karim is working hard to keep his business afloat and his team on board. Since the start of our collaboration, he has supported the recruitment of five youth from disadvantaged backgrounds in an effort to help fight poverty.
“We feel everyone of us has to make a contribution to give back to our community. Business is not just about profit,” said Karim.
Since the start of the crisis, however, Karim has had to reduce a third of his staff. Today, he is actively brainstorming innovative ways to weather the crisis and bring the rest of his team back on board.
