Advancing Culinary Skills

The Bedayati Kitchen launched its first pastry skills training course to empower women and youth keen to gain culinary skills in baking and pastry making. This short professional training (30 hours) was powered by J-MED- Support Youth in the Mediterranean, an initiative of the Principality of Monaco and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, with the support of IECD.

Sita, the Bedayati Kitchen’s lead cook, was one of the students who completed the training. “I looked forward to attending classes,” she said. “I learned how to bake with precise measurements. I learned recipes like croissants that I didn’t know how to make before. The chef’s teaching style was very accessible. This training has allowed us to diversify our catering menu and add pastry options at the Bedayati Kitchen.”
