Lebanon’s Resilient Spirit: Volunteerism and Support

In the face of a relentless assault of missiles, there are relentless citizen-led efforts across the country to support those displaced by the brutal attacks against our country and its citizens. We are humbled by the volunteers who have been showing up at Bedayati seven days a week to cook together. We are also humbled by others across the chain who have been volunteering to pick up and drop off meals, even in the nighttime and in less safe areas, by the informal coordination mechanisms that have been set up, and by the green citizens who have been driving down up and down to Beirut just to pick up our organic waste for composting.

A big thank you also to every individual donation, no matter how small, that has sustained this effort and to organizations and collectives including @caravanessolidaires@tahaddilebanon@dev.movement@dikkenelmazraa@tinolpaints@leia__k, and Family Care.

We pray for a day when Lebanon will politically be governed by this same spirit of leadership and solidarity.
